Today, Villa Palagina Dimora is an eco-tourism resort in the Chianti Regions about 45 minutes outside Florence city centre. It has long been a refuge for Florence’s noble families since the 16th Century, and before that was a monastery that was sadly destroyed. The villa has 2 pools, beautiful Vineyards, a farm shop that sells the Vineyards own honey, olive oil and of course plenty of Vino. Included in the 2 nights is breakfast both mornings and use of all the resort. The resort has been exclusively hired for us for the two days, so it will be just wedding guests for those two days. The Alexander family came on holiday to this region a lot when growing up, always staying at Norcenni Girasole Club 5 minutes down the road. It holds a really special place for the family and is filled with so many happy and funny memories. We also got engaged in Italy and have been on holiday here as a couple more times than anywhere else, so it just felt right when we saw this venue and we knew pretty much straight away! Each room in this beautifully restored villa is completely unique, so everyone’s rooms are different. Declan and I have seen most of them when the Villa was closing for the Winter last year, and we don’t think anyone will be disappointed.
